After a long, interminable wait, the second season of ボーイフレンド has finally arrived on Netflix! We’ll have a more in-depth article later, but for the meantime the people want to know: who are the boys? My first thought was that Jobu is very similar to Alan from the first series: a little older than some of the other cast members, and seems to have a vibe that makes you trust him. He works in marketing, and although he says he lacks composure, he still gives off the feeling that this is someone you can rely on.
イザヤ
主にオーストラリアで暮らしているソフトウェア開発者の伊左也は、できればグリーンルームで真剣な交際を見つけるために日本に戻ってきた。しかし、彼には他のハウスメイトとの因縁があり、番組屈指のクリフハンガーのきっかけとなった。
ウィリアム
Another person who lives abroad, William calls Barcelona home (and don’t worry, you won’t forget: he really likes wearing Barcelona Football Club shirts), he’s looking for marriage… and since that isn’t yet possible in Japan, does this mean he’s looking to take someone back to Spain? And despite his pure desire… has he been pure in the past?

Another transplant, Huwei is originally from Thailand, and holds a unique distinction among the rest of the cast: he is heading to the 2028 Olympics! A practitioner of judo in training for Thailand’s team, he is also pursuing a PhD in gender studies — the boy has brains and a body! In many ways, he reminds me of Kazuto from season 1.
ヒロヤ
札幌在住のアートディレクターで、おそらく北海道ロケで最も天候に慣れている人物であろうヒロヤは、仕事中毒のようなところがあり、そんな彼を揺さぶり、自分を優先させようとグリーンルームにやってきた。彼はとても思いやりがあり、親切だが、このことが他のキャストの興味を引くだろうか？
リュウキ
20歳という若さでこの家の赤ん坊となった龍希は、過去に男性に嫌な思いをさせられたことがあり、自信を取り戻すためにこの番組に参加した。学生でありながらバリスタとしても働いている。
Tomoaki
An IT manager, Tomoaki joined the cast a little later, and has become a fan favorite after telling others that he has come to the Green Room to come to terms with his sexuality and himself after working hard to lose weight. His confidence seems a little low, but with luck, he will begin to believe in himself more!
Taeheon
He’s back!? That’s right, season 1’s father of the house has returned to ボーイフレンド, as he feels that he has unfinished business. Trying to be a little more open with his feelings than he was the last time around, fans of Taeheon are hoping that he’ll get more screen time this season.
