Shibuya Pride Taking Off
Tokyo Pride is upon us! Everyone is getting psyched for a wild weekend of sun, solidarity, and sexiness! And while Shinjuku Nichome is the hub of queer life in Tokyo — and in Japan! — and so it will have a huge number of parties to mark the weekend (and the month as a whole), many of which we’ll be detailing here.
But (and I know this is sometimes difficult to believe) Nichome isn’t the only place in Tokyo celebrating! In nearby Shibuya, one of Tokyo’s most famous and important districts, celebrations are also popping off! Time to practice your pose for 6 June 2026, as you get ready for one of the biggest gay nights of the year at Avalon!
A Legendary Party

Named for the island of Arthurian myth (wherein a commanding and mighty daddy King takes his most trusted fellas to go on adventures as a party), Avalon is a monthly party hosted by gay event group Men’s Wonderland. Each party has its own theme, and this time is no different, with this month’s focus being: Runway! Billing itself as “not just a party, [but] a vibe,” the theme is centered around the concept of “music x fashion,” so you can expect more than a little bit of style to accompany the sexy!
That’s not all, though: the Runway also comes with more than a little celebrity status! Joining the party are: Izumi Sexy, who appeared in a leading role in 2025’s critically acclaimed Blue Boy Trial, now on Netflix; drag queen Sasha B. Savannah, known as the “Japanese Beyonce,”; and Usak, a Gogo dancer who rose to fame following his appearance in season 1 of Netflix’s The Boyfriend. Try not to get starstruck when you’re strutting your stuff!
Camelot, Where Visitors [Redacted]

The club where Avalon is held deepens the round table sensibilities. This party takes place in Club Camelot, a three-story location with different genres of music on each floor. For Avalon, the third floor will be playing a mixture of different types of music, while the second floor is dedicated to the perennially popular KPop.
Throughout the evening, under the direction of Usak, guests will be entertained by over twenty Gogo dancers, on floors 2 and 3. Numbered among these dancers are NAWOTO, SIO, DAIGO, LUM, KO-SK, and RICO. But that’s not all! In addition to being in the presence of Izumi Sexy and Sasha B. Savannah, you can also see performances from drag queens TEMANDA, Bomba Sachiko, and Clitolia Joroe. As for the music? The tunes will be mixed on the third floor by DJ TACKHEY, DJ Chanken, DJ Neon, DJ tiger&dragon, and DJ Gohan. On the second floor, the KPop is delivered fresh and feisty by DJ YOSHI, DJ HYUN, DJ OSARU, and DJ shu.
When night falls over Yoyogi Park this year, don’t even think about running away: head over to the page for Runway event details, and come to Runway for a (k)night you’ll never forget.
