Kingdom: THE Tokyo Gay Club

Tobias Waters

The conclusion of the JGG Gay Night Tour is Kingdom Tokyo: while we start with the King, we end with the best location in all of Nichome. After all, who needs a king, when you have a Kingdom?

This is, without doubt, the best of places to be at the end of your night. Where else can you see gogoboys, drag queens, and the sexiest men you’ve ever seen? Nowhere, of course! This is without a doubt the place to end your evening! Let us tell you why!

Getting Your Drink On

Kingdom has a very generous nomihodai, or “all-you-can-drink” option. For a mere ¥1,500, you can get unlimited booze from 6pm, at the opening, until 9pm. Within this deal, you cn enjoy Japanese beer, spirits, and mixers (with some exceptions). This means that there’s no need to pre-game: you can just rock up and get your buzz there and then!

This is not meant to be an invitation to get crazy drunk, though! There’s nothing wrong with getting a little tipsy, but nomihodai are meant to be a way of knowing that you’re not going to spend too much. If you have three drinks in the space of three hours? Well, you’ve made your money back!

Getting Your Groove On

As a club, you can imagine that there is a chance to dance: and your imagination is 100% right, baby! Kingdom plays music from gay icons every single night, and there is absolutely no way that you won’t find at least one song you’d move to!

Kingdom has the kind of music that will make you glad you put on your dancing shoes. There are tunes played that will rock your socks off, and those that will trigger our nostalgia. In either event, you’ll be moved — and moving! — without hesitation or abandon!

With the tunes bumping and the vibes vibing, you’ll gonna be bumping here in ways that you can’t in any other place in Japan!

Getting Your Pumps On

One of the best things about Kingdom is that it loves to let performers strut their stuff. With drag queens and gogoboys galore, even if you just want to sit down, you’ll never be short of entertainment.

And it isn’t just the talent who are performing at the behest of the club! There is also a pole in the center of the room, and trust us: many talented dancers get up to get down nightly. If you want to, then why not become one of them? Just get on the floor and shake your moneymaker with the best of them!

In Summary

There are many different gay clubs in Tokyo, and they all have something different. But there is no place we recommend more highly than Kingdom as the best place to finish your night.
