What’s going on in lesbian life and Tokyo night?
Shinjuku Nichome in Tokyo is known as the center of LGBTQ+ Tokyo nightlife in Japan. It is full of LGBTQ+-friendly bars… and I actually work at one of them!
When I’m working, customers often ask me questions like:
“Which lesbian bars do you recommend in Japan?”
“Where can I find places with more lesbians?”
It made me realize something: even though there are many lesbians in Japan, there are not that many spaces specifically for lesbians. Many places are queer-friendly or open to everyone, which is great, but dedicated lesbian-only spaces can still feel limited.
So I started wondering what kind of lesbian events exist in Japan. I did some research, and today I want to introduce some of the main lesbian events happening in 2026.
Top 4 Tokyo Night Lesbian Events

Friend’s Friends, often called FF, is an event built around the idea that a friend of a friend is also your friend.
It is usually held once every two months and often takes place at venues such as Queen or Kingdom in Shinjuku Nichome.
The event is known for being very welcoming, and it is designed so that people can easily join even if they come alone. Because of that, it is a great event for people who are new to the scene.
Event dates are usually posted on Instagram, so be sure to check there if you want to attend.

There are DJs and performers, and many different people from the community participate. It is a good place to experience the energy of Japan’s lesbian scene.
You can see many different styles there, including feminine, masculine, and androgynous lesbians.
People who have attended often say the same thing after going: “there are a lot of cute girls!”

Panache

Panache is another women-only party that is often held in Shinjuku Nichome.
The staff of Bar Panache, a lesbian bar in the area, supports the event. It is known for being lively and fun.
Throughout the year, they host themed events, such as Halloween and Christmas parties.
The concept of the event is simple. Meet people, talk, enjoy music, and watch shows. Guests can also enjoy performances by go-go dancers.

Diamond Cutter

Diamond Cutter is a completely women-only lesbian event.
Every month, the party has a different theme. Some examples include VTuber fan events, school uniform-themed parties, and DJ daytime events.
The age range of the crowd is quite wide. Some daytime events allow minors to attend, which means people who are not yet old enough to drink alcohol can still join and enjoy the event.
This makes it one of the more accessible lesbian events for younger members of the community.
