Japanese Hottest GoGo Boys You Need to Know

Tobias Waters

If there is one thing that Shinjuku Nichome nightlife is known for, its gogo boy dancers. No matter when you visit, one bar or another is likely to have performances by sexy gay gogo boys, from Japan and even from further afield.

Among Japan’s gogo boys, there are a few who stand out as being particularly noteworthy, and worth making a trip to the club to see. Today, we’ll take you through five of our favorites, and some of the top spots to go for gogo boy dancers in Tokyo!

Junpei

A model as well as a gogo dancer, Junpei is in high demand both in Japan and abroad. He is performing in the 2025 Formosa Pride party in Taiwan, and will also be in Sapporo’s D-mode club in November, where he’ll be bringing some much needed hotness on a cold winter night. He also helps to promote the Private Care Clinic in Tokyo, which provides help with and protection against STIs. He also has a cute cat!

Kenzo

Both sweet and spicy, Kenzo marks himself out for being shy, and staying humble even as he grows in popularity — and has a self-described “hard leather fetish”! You can find him performing at clubs like D-Light, and at events like Avalon. He also has an OnlyFans account, for anyone who wants to see a little more.

Yuta

Almost like a superhero, Yuta Kuroda spends his days working alongside major global corporations as a high-powered recruitment consultant. But when the sun sets, he becomes Rico, a gogo dancer who can be found at top events like Vita and even Intensity, in Manila. He has two pets: a dog and a bird, and was the runner up in this year’s Mr. Gay Japan.

Shigeru

Sadly for those who like a little Latin flavor, Shigeru is a part-time gogo dancer, as the Peru-born hunk is also the manager of Eagle House Blue and Eagle Osaka! A bear, he can be found getting customers to growl at events like Club Kuma, for GMPD fanatics. But for a bear, he’s a teddy bear: his mother is his greatest inspiration, and loves getting a hearty dinner with his fans.

Dío

Hailing all the way from the Emerald Isle, Dío is that rare European gogo boy dancer in Tokyo. He’s been working as a gogo boy here for two years, but if you’ve stumbled on this article from abroad and are inconsolable that you won’t get the chance to see him, fret not: he is a frequent traveler! His performances are energetic, and for anyone who likes double-trouble, he also performs with his partner, Gio.

Where to See Tokyo’s Best Go-Go Boys in 2025

So, where can you see our fave five, and many other gay gogo boy dancers, in Tokyo? As ever, Shinjuku Nichome is the place to be. While the options among the 300+ bars can seem endless, these are our top picks!

Kingdom

Opened last year, Kingdom has a large open dance floor, as well as a stage for performances. It regularly hosts gogoboy performances, and after their act is finished, they can frequently be found mingling among the crowd having fun! Don’t miss the ¥1,500 all-you-can-drink offer from 6pm to 9pm.

D-light

Another relatively new arrival, D-light’s floorspace can accommodate 80 guests to see the dancers going crazy! Themed events are common, including BDSM nights, but for our purposes, the only thing you need to know is that every Friday is the Gogo Boys Bar night, with plenty of dancers performing!

Club Blacknude

A venue with something of a classy vibe to it, Club Blacknude has a regular bar on the first floor, where one is served by a gogo boy, and can indulge in karaoke. In the basement floor, however, is a wider space where performances are held. The gogo boy dancers and servers here are even profiled by their chest, so you can look up exactly when the right guy for you is performing.

Known for its GMPD staff and clientele (as well as those who love them!), this bar is a great place for anyone who likes bigger gogo boys. Managed by Shigeru, it has a number of regular events and parties that feature gogo boys and drag queens, so you’ll be set no matter what kind of performance you want to put on!

AiiRO Cafe is a very chilled out and relaxed standing bar, with a. rainbow torii (gate found in front of Japanese shrines) out front. Beloved by locals and foreigners alike, while it is fairly low-key on the whole, it does host events where it throws calm and quiet to the wind, where gogo boy dancers perform for its cheering clients.
